Flying the T6 Texan

As a present for my Birthday in September 2002, I was bought the greatest gift of all time. A 1 hour acrobatic flight in a T-6 Texan trainer. For those that don't know this was the primary training aircraft for all allied fighter pilots of WWII. Americans used this, but so did the British, Canadian's, Aussie's and New Zealanders. The only difference is all those common wealth countries call her the Harvard. Anyway, I got to sit up in the front seat and I had control of the aircraft once we were a few hundred feet off the ground. My flight simming experience helped a little anyway as I executed rolls, barrel rolls, loops and wingovers all on my own while my excellent instructor, Jay, in the back seat verbally walked me through the tricks. It was an experience I'll never forget and I recommend it for all aviation fans! Here is the company I flew with if your interested Warbird Adventures.
